Backend Web Developer
Abuja / Remote
Soma Concepts is hiring a Backend Web Developer to build and harden the server-side of our SaaS products (Solak, Smart Writer, FaithNow) and client platforms. You'll work closely with our technical lead and AI coding agents to ship reliable, well-architected APIs and services — this is a hands-on, ownership-heavy role, not a maintenance seat.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain REST/GraphQL APIs powering our SaaS products and client projects
- Own database schema design, migrations, and query performance
- Integrate third-party services (payments, auth, messaging, storage)
- Write clean, tested, documented code and review others' pull requests
- Collaborate with product/design on feasibility and technical tradeoffs
- Monitor, debug, and resolve production issues
What we're looking for
- 3+ years building production backend systems (Node.js, Python, or similar)
- Strong SQL and relational database design (PostgreSQL preferred)
- Experience with REST API design and authentication/authorization patterns
- Comfortable working with cloud hosting (Vercel, AWS, or similar) and CI/CD
- Git proficiency and comfort working in a fast-moving, agent-assisted dev workflow
Nice to have
- Experience with Next.js full-stack apps
- Exposure to payment gateway integrations (e.g., Paystack, Stripe)
- Experience working with or alongside AI coding agents

Product Designer
Abuja / Remote
Soma Concepts is hiring a Product Designer to shape the user experience across our SaaS products and client platforms — from early concept through polished, shippable UI. You'll work directly with the founder/technical lead and dev agents to translate ambiguous product ideas into clear, usable interfaces.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end user flows and UI for SaaS products (Solak, Smart Writer, FaithNow) and client platforms
- Produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI in Figma
- Maintain and evolve a shared design system/component library
- Translate PRDs and rough concepts into clear UX flows
- Conduct lightweight usability reviews and iterate based on feedback
- Partner with developers to ensure design intent survives implementation
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of product design experience, ideally on SaaS or consumer apps
- Strong Figma skills and a portfolio showing end-to-end product thinking, not just visuals
- Understanding of responsive/mobile-first design and accessibility basics
- Comfortable designing from ambiguous or incomplete briefs
Nice to have
- Experience designing for African/emerging markets or fintech-adjacent products
- Basic front-end literacy (HTML/CSS) to communicate with developers effectively
- Experience building or maintaining a design system

Data Analyst

Soma Concepts is hiring a Data Analyst to turn product, marketing, and financial data into clear, actionable insight across our SaaS products and Digital Services engagements. You'll build the reporting and analysis muscle the company needs to make faster, better-informed decisions.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain dashboards/reports on product usage, growth, and revenue metrics
- Analyze user behavior across Solak, Smart Writer, FaithNow, and client platforms
- Support ad campaign performance analysis in partnership with the Ads Specialist
- Clean, model, and validate data from multiple sources
- Present findings and recommendations in clear, non-technical language
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a data/business analyst role
- Strong SQL skills; comfort working directly with relational databases
- Proficiency with a BI/visualization tool (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI, Metabase) or strong spreadsheet/Excel skills
- Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into concrete analyses
Nice to have
- Experience with Python or R for analysis
- Experience with marketing/ad analytics (attribution, CAC, LTV)
- Familiarity with early-stage/startup data environments (messy data, few pre-built pipelines)

Ads Specialist
Abuja / Remote
Soma Concepts is hiring an Ads Specialist to plan, run, and optimize paid acquisition across our SaaS products and client campaigns. You'll own budget efficiency and be a key driver of user growth across Solak, Smart Writer, FaithNow, and Digital Services clients.
What you'll do
- Plan, launch, and manage paid campaigns across Meta, Google, and other relevant channels
- Own campaign budgets and optimize for CAC/ROAS targets
- Write and test ad copy and creative briefs in collaboration with design
- Track and report on campaign performance alongside the Data Analyst
- Manage paid campaigns for client accounts under the Digital Services division
What we're looking for
- 2+ years running paid campaigns on Meta Ads and/or Google Ads with real budget ownership
- Track record of managing CAC/ROAS and iterating based on performance data
- Comfortable with ad platform analytics and basic tracking setup (pixels, conversions)
- Strong copywriting instincts for ad creative
Nice to have
- Experience running campaigns for SaaS or app-install growth
- Experience managing multiple client ad accounts simultaneously
- Familiarity with the Nigerian/African digital ad landscape
